General Inspections
Routine inspections are performed annually, semi-annually or quarterly, based on customer preference. These thorough A to Z inspections are designed to identify discrepancies before they have the chance to impact system operation. The scope includes but is not limited to inspecting the following: battery and charger testing, lubrication system, fuel system, air intake system, generator end, controller, exhaust system, ancillary equipment, cooling system, prime mover, fuel system and alarm testing. Units will be ran to verify running conditions and operation. Reports are sent to customers for their compliance records as well as any recommended course of action.
Generator Preventative Maintenance
Over time, your system will need preventive maintenance. Routine services that are recommended by both the OEM and NFPA110 are completed. This includes engine oil and filter changes, belt replacement, air filter replacement, coolant adjustment, battery replacement, engine cooling system overhauls, greasing bearings, valve adjustments, etc.
Routine Compliance Testing
We specialize in healthcare sites and perform routine testing required to stay compliant per NFPA110. The first step is identifying which Level of site you fall under, which will then dictate what testing is required at your site.
Paralleling Switchgear Inspections
This scope covers all aspects of switchgear including wire connections, protective relay operation, annunciation and monitoring, and breaker testing and operation. Reports are generated and sent to customers for their records.
Load Banking
We offer both resistive and reactive load banking for both routine compliance testing and also proofing repairs such as fuel injection pump and automatic voltage regulator replacement. Load Banking is critical for diesel engines at low load sites as the engine may encounter complications from wet stacking. One of the main benefits from load banking is applying enough load to a unit to raise exhaust temperatures high enough to burn off wet stack.
Fuel, Oil, and Coolant Sample Analysis
Some key clues about an engine are found in its fluids. This lab analysis can help identify a discrepancy before a major breakdown. Fuel tests are required annually per NFPA110 for Level 1 sites. The quality of these fluids will determine the reliability of a system.
Fuel Polishing and Tank Cleaning
Condensation and poor seals can lead to water intrusion in a fuel tank. This will cause a multitude of problems and can lead to very expensive repairs. If fuel sample analysis indicates algae, water, sediment, etc. in the fuel tank, then fuel polishing is needed to clean the fuel and the tank. An additional fuel sample will be pulled after the fuel polishing is completed to verify results.
Control System Upgrades
Over time, components become discontinued and obsolete. At this point band-aids no longer create a reliable system, and a full upgrade is needed. We handle everything from planning to execution to upgrading the system. Once upgraded, rigorous planned testing is completed to verify reliable operation.
Infared Scans
IR scans are very useful to identify failing components, loose connections, and time sensitive issues that may otherwise go undetected until complete failure. Bad connections lead to heat and metal will burn. This creates a bad situation that could have been avoided.
Rental Generators and Equipment
Whether your permanent generator fails or you don’t have redundancy for scheduled repairs, we can provide, install, and test a rental generator of any size and voltage to support your site automatically.
Disaster Response
In the event of a hurricane, once winds have dropped to a safe level, we can respond to your needs to ensure your site has power when needed the most. For critical sites, we offer to ride out the storm onsite 24-7 until utility power is restored.
Automatic Transfer Switch Inspections
We offer both energized and de-energized ATS inspections, The scope includes all aspects of the ATS to include wire connections, main contact wear, mechanical and electrical operation, amperage and voltage readings, millivolt drop test. If approved, a transfer test will be completed to verify operation
Fuel Delivery
We have multiple vendors that can deliver as much fuel as you require whether it is to keep your unit running during an outage or just routine fuel delivery.
